IN MEMORIUM - Chachababy/Peggy

Recommended Posts

News reached us today that our sweet Chachababy has gone to be with the Lord. Peggy had been ill for a very long time but was still able occasionally to send us some of her gorgeous gifs. Her sister, our own LadyFran, Peggy's husband and her children as well as the rest of the family are all holding up as best they can.

If you have words of comfort you would like to send, please do so here. Also, if you have particular memories of Peggy, please share them with us.

Peggy was a wonderful GAL who contributed much fun and beauty to the site. She will be missed.

In loving memory of our sweet friend Peggy, forever in our hearts.

"Those we love don't go away,
They walk beside us every day,
Unseen, unheard, but always near,
Still loved, still missed and very dear."

Sending prayers for comfort for her family, especially dear Fran who will greatly miss her.

Oh I am so sorry. Dearest Frannie, I wish I had words of comfort...

Psalm 56

King James Version (KJV)

1Be merciful unto me, O God: for man would swallow me up; he fighting daily oppresseth me.

2Mine enemies would daily swallow me up: for they be many that fight against me, O thou most High.

3What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee.

4In God I will praise his word, in God I have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do unto me.

5Every day they wrest my words: all their thoughts are against me for evil.

6They gather themselves together, they hide themselves, they mark my steps, when they wait for my soul.

7Shall they escape by iniquity? in thine anger cast down the people, O God.

8Thou tellest my wanderings: put thou my tears into thy bottle: are they not in thy book?

9When I cry unto thee, then shall mine enemies turn back: this I know; for God is for me.

10In God will I praise his word: in the LORD will I praise his word.

11In God have I put my trust: I will not be afraid what man can do unto me.

12Thy vows are upon me, O God: I will render praises unto thee.

13For thou hast delivered my soul from death: wilt not thou deliver my feet from falling, that I may walk before God in the light of the living?

Frannie, your sister was a dear sweet lady who encouraged and supported all of us aspiring Phantom authors. I will never forget the kindness and sense of humor that shone through her, despite her often frail physical condition. May she now be at peace in the arms of the only TRUE Angel of Music...her savior.

Love,

Swannie

Dearest Frannie, my heart is broken over this news. Peggy was a gentle soul and she is now in The Lords gentle keeping. It's for those of us left to miss her and mourn her passing. Asking God's strength and comfort for Peggy's husband and children as well as for you, your mom and the rest of the family. Blessings on all of you.

Frannie, if there is anything I can do, you have only to ask.

Love

Suzie

I give you this one thought to keep

I am with you still; I do not sleep

I am a thousand winds that blow

I am the diamond glints on snow

I am the sunlight on ripened grain

I am the gentle Autumn rain

When you awaken in morning hush

I am the swift uplifting rush

of quiet birds in circled flight

I am the soft stars that shine at night

Do not think of me as gone...

I am with you still; in each new dawn

Do not stand at my grave and weep;

I am not there; I do not sleep

Do not stand at my grave and cry;

I am not there; I did not die...

Just think of me and I'll be there

surrounding you with loving care

To those of you who touched my soul

my spirit remains...eternal..

When I first shyly entered the support center for the first time it was Peggy and Frannie (and Anna) that extended such a warm welcome to me. I will always remember my telephone chats with Peggy. She, along with my other sisters here on GALS (you know who you are) were my pillars of strength during my Dan'l's final days. Peggy always loved to dance when she was younger she told me once (that's why she chose the name chachababy). For as long as I knew this gentle sweet spirit of a lady she lived in constant pain; yet she never wanted anyone to feel sorry for her and she never lost her sense of humor or love of family and friends. And she ALWAYS was there for those who needed her. I just know that the Lord looked down and said "enough pain My daughter...time to come home" .... and now Peggy is once again able to dance to her heart's content.

Peggy, you will be so missed my friend. Thank you for all the sweet things you did for me over the years and I look forward to the day when I will see you dancing in heaven.

I'M FREE

Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free.
I'm following the path God laid, you see.

I took His hand when I heard him call.
I turned around and left it all.
I could not stay another day,
To laugh, to love, to work or play.
Tasks left undone must stay that way,
I've found the peace on a sunny day.
If my parting has left a void,
Then fill it with remembered joys.
A family shared, a laugh, a kiss,

Oh yes, these things, I too, will miss.
Be not burdened with times of sorrow,
I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.
My life's been full, I savored much,
Good friends, good times, a loved one's touch.
Perhaps my time seemed all too brief.
Don't lengthen it now with undue grief.
Lift up your hearts and peace to thee.
God wanted me now; He set me free.

My Dearest friends. I had to come to you all tonight as I need to keep my mind and hands busy. I just don't know what to do with myself. Reading all your beautiful prayers and words of comfort have helped me to reflect and remember why I myself am here! It was Peggy that told me bluntly to stop pussy footing around and instead of just looking around and hanging out that I needed to JUST JOIN! So that is what I did.... You don't know how much joining Gals pulled her out of her depression because that is when she really started becoming all crippled up with the Arthritis and the pain from it. Because she couldn't do the simple things in life as well as she used to Gals was a blessing to her. Of course you that knew her knew her favorite was POTO....It's because of her that I even watched it... I just couldn't picture Attila singing opera! Because my introduction to Gerry was always Attila but I guess you all know that by now. Anyway, forgive me if I'm rambling, I've never been very good with words but I just wanted you all to know my sister is at peace now and as Sue said... she can Cha cha all she wants now without pain. Shes with the Lord now and also with Tommy. As of 2:30 this afternoon she has been at peace. My heart is broken once again but I know she's in a better place and I keep thinking of that.... So thank you all once again and I know Peggy sees how much she is loved!

I am so sorry to hear this news about sweet Peggy. Most of you probably wouldn't know that I always felt a special link because of that "cha cha". Back when I used to dance competitively, it was always my favorite.

I know it was hard for her to get around, so hopefully she's dancing away again.

Oh Frannie, you and your family have had so much tragedy recently. My heart breaks for all of you. You are all in my prayers.

:hugs:

Dear Frannie -

My heart and prayers are with you and all of Peggy's family at this time. I know the confusing combination of grief at the loss of someone you love so dearly and relief that their suffering is over. I pray that you find comfort and solace in your friends and family - including all of the GALS. As I pray I will imagine Peggy dancing her heart out with the other angels and bringing another bit of joy to heaven. A part of her will always be here, in her beautiful gifts of gifs - she lives on in all our hearts.

Big hugs to you

Susan

Posted Image I never thought I would be using one of Peggy's GIFS for her but in one of the last posts Peggy wrote on GALS she said it made her feel good to see her GIFS being used. So I am using it. Actually, I have a folder full of her GIFS and she made a beautiful one for me on my wedding anniversary.

I am saying prayers for my dear friend and all of her family members because I know they have lost a wonderful loving person in Peggy. I especially want to say to my other dear friend, Frannie, that my first thought, when Barbara wrote to me to tell me about Peggy, was that she is now with Tommy. How wonderful for them both. Love flows into eternity.

Peggy and I started a special bond between us when her great granddaughter, Lea, was born prematurely. Peggy was so worried about her. I wrote her and told her that I was born prematurely and the doctors told my parents I probably wouldn't make it. We kept writing back and forth and she would give me updates and I would give her encouragement that Lea would be fine. Then when it looked like Lea would make it Peggy worried that there would be health problems down the road from her early birth. I told her that I have had a very healthy life and there is no reason to believe that Lea would have any problems. From that point on Peggy and I were good friends. That is why it hurt me so much to know how Peggy's health took a bad turn and the poor lady was in pain and couldn't even move her arms for so long. Now it also hurts to know my dear friend, Frannie, has to endure another loss in her life. Frannie, Peggy is now free of all of her pain and she can move in the heavens like the woman she once was. I celebrate her life and her friendship to me. God Bless her and her family!

Frannie, words are inadequate to express my sorrow at the passing of your dear sister...I never had the privilege of meeting Peggy as some of you did, but I always enjoyed her posts here at GALS and gained a sense of her great spirit through reading them. Our loss is Heaven's gain, and I sincerely add my thoughts and prayers to all those others offered in your behalf, that you will find comfort in knowing that she is finally pain-free and in a better place, and watching over you from above.

Love,

Alison

Dearest Frannie,

Please accept my heartfelt sympathy for the passing of your beloved sister, Peggy. I only knew her here

at GALS but she was a very special lady. Always so upbeat and loving to all. I know how hard it is to say

goodbye as I just had to do the same with my only sister 3 weeks ago, when she passed after difficult battle

with cancer. Sending you big hugs and lots of love, and may the love of friends and family sustain you at

this time.

Dear Frannie,

My heart is so saddened to hear of the passing of your dear sister Peggy. I feel honored to have been a galfriend who loved the beautiful gifs she so lovingly and freely shared with everyone. She even made me some darling personal greetings for my birthday, anniversary and the births of my grandbabies that I treasure.

I send loving prayers for comfort and peace for you and your family. :hearts:

Oh Frannie, I'm so sorry to hear this very sad news, especially when it seemed you had reason to hope. Peggy will, of course, be missed here, but I can't imagine your personal loss. My thoughts and prayers continue to be with you and your family.

Dear frannie ; when I lost my mother the pain was like a deep cut down to my soul. I felt alone and angry at the fact that she died without my sister and me there. We lived very far apart. But the morning I got the phone call from dad saying she was in the hospital and that we should hurry to be with her one last time;it was 7:15 AM ; then a warm breeze hit me (and it was winter) then forced me to inhale deeply..\

My husband who was watching me asked;"What happened?" I had glanced at the clock by my bed at that precise moment it was 7:30AM..I answered; "Mom is gone..."

He studied me for a moment and asked how I knew this..I told him that she had passed through me and let me know that now; she could finally breath (she had terminal Lung cancer).

When we got to the hospital that took three hours by car ; a parking space was right by the entrance; which in Ottawa is unheard of.

After finally getting to the floor where she had been; the head nurse told us that she had already been taken away. Before getting back into the elevator I asked her to check mom's chart and give me the hour of her death...she said; to my sister's amazement."7:30 AM".

When we got back into the car and my sister turned the key; the radio which was playing when the car had stopped blared out the tune (my mother's favorite one) "I will always love you" by Whitney Houston.

These events; were only the beginning of my mother's messages. If you find yourself alone and feeling bad...listen to the silence...you will hear a voice; but your mind must be open before your heart recognizes the sound.

The one's we are closest to will always be there; we just have to believe in their power to send that love from one spirit to another. Sisters and mothers have these special connections where our souls touch and live on forever.

Hugs May

Frannie, you and your family and Peggy's family are in my prayers.

There are no words to express the grief at the loss of a sibling. I've lost

both of mine and they took a part of me with them, for sure. Life changes

drastically when you loose a brother or sister, but God gives us strength to

carry on.

Please open your heart to God's comfort, knowing that Peggy is with him now,

whole and happy.

Sandy

I'm so sad for Me Lady and all who knew and loved Peggy IRL and here
and that are now having to go through such grief...

She was such a sweet and kind spirit and with such a big and generous heart,
I cannot put into words how I feel.

I am grateful for having known her through GALS
and that she now is freed from the pain and restrictions here.

Loving hugs and God's blessing to all who hurt and are missing her
