Safety Home

I am home in Heaven, dear ones:

Oh, so happy and so bright!

There is perfect joy and beauty

In this everlasting light.

All the pain & grief is over,

Every restless tossing passed;

I am now at peace forever,

Safely Home in Heaven at last.

Did you wonder I so calmly

Trod the valley of the shade?

Oh! but Jesus' love illumined

Every dark and fearful glade

And he came Himself to meet me

In that way so hard to tread;

And with Jesus' arm to lean on,

Could I have one doubt or dread?

Then you must not grieve so sorely,

For I love you dearly still:

Try to look beyond earth's shadows,

Pray to trust our Father's Will.

There is work still waiting for you,

So you must not idly stand;

Do it now, while life remaineth-

You shall rest in Jesus' land.

When that work is all completed,

He will gently call you Home.

Oh, the rapture of that meeting,

Oh, the joy to see you come!

My Dearest Frannie,

May the thoughts and prayers of all those who love you help sustain you at this sad time. I wish there was something I could do to comfort you. Please extend my condolences to the members of Peggy's family. We here at GALS held Peggy with great affection.

Love & Hugs, Barbara

....We left the cemetery at 11 am this morning and the sun was shining bright even though it was supposed to rain. Peggy has a beautiful resting place next to a lovely great spruce. We said our last goodbyes ....for now. It's quiet now. As you can imagine it's been a chaotic day. So many wonderful friends donated food and drinks....so much food! But now everyone is gone and Hubby and my B-I-L are in bed. Just sitting here reflecting about so many things. Mostly on what to do now? Yesterday my Mom was taking to the hospital but don't worry...she's coming home tomorrow! Just a little glitch in her heartbeat but we think it was most likely brought on with Peggy's passing. Anyway, the Doc. says she should be fine to come home by tomorrow! Just wanted to come here and read all the beautiful prayers and messages from my Dear friends. Your words are of a great comfort to me and I want you to know how much I Love you all.

Sue, I LOVE the picture you made of Peg and the prayer could not be more perfect. I am going to print it off and frame it! It's Beautiful.

May, your story about your Mom's passing gave me the chills. What an amazing experience you had my friend. Thank you for sharing that with me. I'm sure you are still grieving yourself Sweetie. :hearts:

Judy , I know how you are feeling my Dear Sweet friend and I know there is not much more I can say that will ease the pain except we have to keep in mind our sisters are whole again and walking with the Angels! The chain will link again! :rose:

So now it's time for me to go to bed for tomorrow is another day and the next and the next..... Life goes on ...til we meet again.

Frannie....I'm so glad Peggy had a beautiful sunshine day while people said their goodbyes until they meet her again. One thing I wanted to mention about Peggy that I noticed over the years when the two of you posted here together. Peggy adored you and she was your biggest fan. I remember someone a long time ago said something about a graphic you made. I don't remember the specifics but what I do remember was your big sister coming to your defense. I smile when I think about that. You two were what sisters should be. Each watching each others back. Something tells me that you now have a beautiful angel watching over you. May is right, I had some experiences after my sister and Mom passed away that confirmed what I believed all along. Our loved ones are around us even though they have passed. You just have to listen and recognize the signs that they are with you. You were a wonderful loyal sister to Peggy and now you have an angel in heaven "watching your back". God bless!

News reached us today that our sweet Chachababy has gone to be with the Lord. Peggy had been ill for a very long time but was still able occasionally to send us some of her gorgeous gifs. Her sister, our own LadyFran, Peggy's husband and her children as well as the rest of the family are all holding up as best they can.

If you have words of comfort you would like to send, please do so here. Also, if you have particular memories of Peggy, please share them with us.

Peggy was a wonderful GAL who contributed much fun and beauty to the site. She will be missed.

Suzie

I never had the privilege of getting to know Peggy but I am certain she will be watching over us all. Without a doubt she finds herself in a better place, free from pain and sickness. Deepest Sympathy to Peggy's family and friends during this great time of sorrow.

Love,

Many people mean a lot to me on this site, but none more than Peggy. Peggy was so kind to me and before her breathing got so bad she was unable to talk long we would have long sessions on the phone where we go on about one thing then the next. A lot about Gerry of course. Peggy read my likes when I first got here. She like me was a Megerik phan. She made sure I got read all of Sadie's book before I was finally able to buy my own set. She loved Steve and Kayla on Days of Our Lives as I did, but she called Steve Patch which was the nickname his character went by. She told me of her and Frannie's conversion to Gerrydom. As Frannie mentioned Gerry had her at Attila, but I think Peggy's was and forgive me if I am wrong, but I believe it was as he steered the Gondola and we get the close up with that firm chin and those lips that make grown ladies have naughty thoughts.

Peggy was good woman. She made sure to check the prayer threads and share her gifs. She made me feel like I was special and when I let silly little things make me cry she would advise me like an older sister. I would feel better after she talked to me.

The thing thing that hurts me is knowing I did not do enough for her. I wish I could have done more. I pray in her heart she knew how I loved her and how precious she was to me. I know Peggy would get onto me for worrying about it. I just hope in her place in glory she feels the love that comes from this ghetto fabulous redneck for her first GALfriend.

Oh, Peggy in my heart I am sending you hugs and kisses. You are precious to me and I believe I will see you again on the other side. :hugskisses:

Frannie, I love you so. I love all of you very much and I want to say I love you. I told Peggy I loved her, but how I wish I could tell her again.
