Shamrocked
Happy New Year, GALS, Hope you all have many Blessings in the New Year. Just after Christmas I came down with a nasty head cold and sinus congestion. ha! At least this year it hit after I had enjoyed all the delish food and tastes of Christmas. For years I have come down with sinus congestion right at Christmas and missed out on the enjoyment. So I spent some time in bed recovering and feel better now. Thank Goodness it was not the awful flu. Had Busy, Blessed times with my 3 grown kids and my 6 grandkids. We visited The Polar Express movie and lunch and met Santa. Christmas Eve dinner at the Lodge, Christmas Day Brunch with my youngest son and family. Then I hosted after Christmas lunch and dinner ay my house. My oldest son and his daughter stayed the night after that. 5 year old Beatrix is a live wire and a handful! So it is all done now except taking down my little tree and decorations. Hope to get that done today. Hugs to all Diane
discoveringme
Happy New Year and Blessings for a wonderful 2015 to all. We spent a wonderfully quiet evening with our soon-to-be 23 years old youngest son. We played games and watched an episode of Top Gear-his favorite show. It was fun to just hang out. We are still cold today-woke up to the thermometer reading zero. brrrrrr But still a pretty layer of snow on the ground and clear blue skies. Gorgeous! Lots of love to all. Lady Elissa
With all three of us feeling under the weather, we had a quiet New Year's Eve at home with our traditional family movie night where each of us picks a movie that the whole family has to watch. Can't opt out or leave the room, got a true captive audience! It was going to be just Bill and me. Erin was going with her boyfriend to his parents' house, but she has a bad cold and decided to stay home. Bill's movie choice was The Searchers with John Wayne; mine was Olympus Has Fallen, and Erin's was The Black Swan. I hadn't seen the Black Swan before, and neither of them had seen Olympus Has Fallen. We had fun. Today has been a very lazy day, but I'm going to have to get busy cooking our New Year's Day meal pretty soon. It'll be dinner instead of lunch! Forbes girl
Like so many others I watched my Wiindows XP computer die and was forced to get a Windows 8.1. It has been an experience learning it but I think I'm set now. I had to research and download Apps for everything. Not used to that. I have everything transferred from the old to the new but of course my Photoshop Elements can't be downloaded on an 8.1 so I'll have to buy the newest version and I no longer have an animator. I hate change! Happy New Year to ALL of you! So good to see Diane back here. Love your siggy!!! Diana, I love your graphics too! Elissa, I can't believe Bill never saw OHF before. It is a man's movie too. I'll bet he liked it. Hope he is feeling better as well as you and Erin. It was upsetting to hear that the Flu shot this year is not working with this year's flu. NOT GOOD! Bonnie, take care of Colorado for me. I miss those beautiful mountains! ~HUGS~ Kathy
BlueJean
Kathy - I'm impressed that you learned your new system so quickly. I still don't know how to do 3/4 of the things that can be done on this computer. We still have lots of snow - I'm sure the mountains are beautiful - they're beautiful from here. It has warmed up to the 30s. Good to see you. Hugs Bonnie
