Forbes girl
Andrea, I love museums. I grew up in Chicago and frequented the museums and my favorite as a child was the Museum of Science and Industry. I would have been happy to have lived there. They was also the Field Museum of Natural History, a favorite of mine and the Art Museum which I grew to love more as an adult. I miss those museums. All kids should visit museums so they can learn what schools aren't teaching them today. Bonnie, I'm with the crowd that is searching for MORE BEACH PICS! Can't get too many of those! ~HUGS~ Kathy
Andrea~mc
We live only 1 hour from Memphis and they have some really great ones down there, like the Pink Palace Museum and they have a really great zoo.My goal for this year, when I can afford it,is to buy year passes to all those places so we can go whenever we want. Oh...btw I think I have failed to mention that I have been seeing the same guy off and for 7 months. Wellllllllll He kinda resembles Gerry because whenever I pulled up one of Gerry's recent pics just 5 minutes ago my eldest boy yelled "IT's JOE!"...I was like "uh....nope,not Joe" I promise I didn't pick Joe because he looked anything like Gerry. That's just a perk. Andrea~mc
Hi Swannie Lets see....this week my eldest son was tested for dyslexia and my youngest was referred for giftedness testing. I started a new job doing merchandising. It's a good job for the life I have right now in that it's flexible with my hours.I essentially go into stores and set up displays or make sure stuff is there that's supposed to be there. I will be starting back to school next semester, algebra wohoo I'm heavily involved with tribal politics right now(I'm an enrolled Poarch Creek Indian),I apologize to anyone on my facebook,it's election time.lol

Swansong
We are having a glorious Spring here in the Pacific NW! Everything is blooming! Yesterday the Portland neighborhoods were full of people walking and biking. The parks were full of sun bathers and everywhere you looked, folks were doing outdoor activities. I FEEL for those who are still getting winter weather.

Bonnie Just look at my siggy and avatars and you see how those pics affected me. Love how they brought everyone back here. It is hot here in Florida so I am anxious to get back to Colorado. I will be back April 30th Bonnie so clear the way for me. Make it stop snowing so I can get through the roads to Estes Park without too much trouble. Wish me luck!!! ~HUGS~ Kathy
BlueJean
Kathy - we went to Estes when my stepdaughter and her family were here. We had one 10 min. wait - that's all. We did go up Big Thompson Canyon (34) and it's still a beautiful canyon, but, my goodness - the damage done is terrible. Lots of debris still around. But going up should not in any way be a problem. Bonnie Thanks for the info. Bonnie. I heard that 34 & 36 look quite different. It will take a long time to repair. Right now I am hearing that the water run-off in the mountains is a big concern right now for Estes Park. There is still debris in the rivers and lakes that could cause a blockage when the snow melts in the mountains and the water starts running full speed through our town. It is unfortunate that those floods happened at the end of September because winter comes early up there and damage control was done in the town and not in the rivers. They had to cancel sandbag distribution this week-end because they couldn't get enough filled in time for the volunteers to put out in areas they are concerned about. ~HUGS~ Kathy

Forbes girl
Over the past 7 years since I have joined GBGALS I have NEVER gotten so mad as I am now and decided to post an article about Gerry that is so totally false. The article, I received in my email "Gerard Butler Alert" from RollingStone Culture News website, posted information about actors getting buffed. NO ONE worked harder to get in shape for 300 than Gerry. No one was more ripped than Gerry. Mark Twight NEVER would have made that statement about Gerry. The" unnamed" actor is a myth because Gerry does not drink PERIOD!!! I hate it when statements are made that are pure lies. I'm posting this for the new people here on this site who may believe what they read. It is all made up lies. :tantrum: :tantrum: Here is what was written in RollingStone Culture news: But not every actor is willing to put in the grueling hours toward achieving physical perfection. Trainer Mark Twight, who trained the cast of 300, says star Gerard Butler lacked the proper discipline. "He's not mentally equipped," Twight says. "Gerry does not want to do the work that other people are doing." Meanwhile, an unnamed actor echoes that sentiment: "Gerry goes straight for the cream puffs, man. He works out hard, then he likes to drink beer. He'll get big, but he'll never get ripped." ~HUGS~ Kathy
Andrea~mc
That is one of the most ridiculous statements about Gerry I've seen in ages.Because like you said,he doesn't drink! It's well known that he doesn't drink. He's a rarity in that business in that he doesn't go out and get smashed.Ridiculous*rolls eyes*
Texas gramma
OK, that statement has me seeing red!! Mark Twight was super supportive of Gerry and respectful of the huge amount of work Gerry put into his training for 300. The unknown actor is also a complete fiction. Everyone knows Gerry doesn't drink. I think we need to find the author of that article and "go GALS" all over his head! Suzie
