irish Posted August 12, 2014 Report Share Posted August 12, 2014 As some of you know Tammy's husband Jim has Multiple Myeloma (Bone Marrow Cancer). He was first diagnosed 5 years ago. He underwent chemo treatments and a stem cell transplant in the summer of 2009 and was in remission until Nov 2012. He started chemo treatments again in February 2013; until November 2013. He had a stem cell transplant in Dec 2013 and was in the hospital for 3 weeks. Unfortunately within 6 weeks the cancer was back. His cancer counts slowly keep going up. He has been so strong and keeps holding his head high and standing in the face of cancer and saying; "No! I will not let you beat me" I have more fight left in me. He is Tammy's Hero (and mine as well)!! If this wasn't enough our Tammy has Lupus (SLE) and Fibromyalgia which keeps trying to bring her down; but she does everything she can to stay strong for Jim. I ask that all our wonderful prayer warriors keep both of them in your heart, in your thoughts and especially in your prayers. I know how much all the prayers and thoughts from around the world kept me and my Dan'l going through his battle with cancer and they will forever be one of my most treasured possessions. Dear Lord, I lift up Jim and Tammy to You. Let them feel Your love and grace as they walk through this valley. Be with them and continue to give them the strength to do battle with these horrible diseases that they both have. Give wisdom to the doctors who treat them and comfort them on those days that seem so impossible to get through. Surround them with Your people who will help share their burden and let them know that they are never alone. More than anything Lord, hold them in Your faithful, loving arms and help them to keep their focus on You. When there is anxiety, give them peace. When they are fearful or frustrated remind them that You are in control. Use all they are going through to grow closer to each other and most especially closer to You. I ask this in Jesus' Name. He is amazing and I have so much respect and admiration for both Jim and Tammy. They keep fighting together and I love Jim's smile even during the hard times. I will continue saying prayers for Jim and I know he will win this fight because he has so many people fighting with him. God Bless Jim and Tammy! Worry, striving and fretting are not from You, because You care for our every need. Please give us the grace to trust You with all that's weighing on our minds and heavy on our hearts. When anxiety becomes overwhelming as it does while in the midst of illness, give us the peace of Christ that transcends our understanding. Thank You for promising to never leave us nor forsake us. We both also want to THANK everyone for your Love; Friendship; Strength; Support and Beautiful Prayers and Kind words. I know that we both would not be able to get through without all of you. I am going to print out each post so that I can read them again and again for not only myself but also for Jim. Jim and I are both just sending you all so much love and so many hugs!
