We're back to DEFCON 1...

Recommended Posts

The time for flowery posts and pleading puppydog eyes has passed! The paypal account is EMPTY and we only have one month's payment left in savings. After that, there are no funds. At the time of this writing, after January, we'll have to close for business.

I KNOW we're all tight on funds and the timing sucks. We've always been able to rally in the past, but we've once again found ourselves at THIS IS IT. We've only received one donation since September. :-( If we can't raise funds, the immediate future of the website is in question. We hope to be able to maintain the photo gallery, but it ALL hangs in the balance.

Every PENNY, PENCE, CENTAVO, PESO, LIRA, RUBLE, YEN, BAHT (you get the picture) is APPRECIATED!

Donations can be submitted online through Paypal or mailed as money orders/checks.

Option 1- PAYPAL: (One must have a PayPal account established to use this option)

Log into PayPalClick the "Send Money" tab.Put support@gerardbutlergals.com as the email address you're sending to, and donate the amount you want.(PLEASE BE SURE TO INCLUDE YOUR SCREENNAME in the "notes" area)NOTE: There is a handy 'Donate' box on the left side of the Forum Home Page, too!

Option 2 - Paper Check By Snail Mail:

Send a check, payable to GB GALS,

Susan Payette

P.O. Box 17915

Irvine, CA 92623-7915

In the memo section, please indicate "Support" (AND INCLUDE YOUR SCREENNAME)

Thanks, y'all!

Seems like I buy enough stuff on amazon that we shouldn't be having this problem! <grin> But that goes to Rising Phoenix....is that the same?

Just sent in my donation!!

GALS is nearing its 10th Anniversary. Let's all chip in to keep us up and running!
We've all made such long lasting friendships because of this very site.
I for one, am so deeply grateful for being a member!

Do what you can every little bit helps!

Hugs GalFriends!!

Mary, Rising Phoenix and GALS are not the same. One is a charitable, not for profit entity, the other is not. That's not to say gbGALS is a for-profit entity, by any stretch. But donations to the maintenance of gbGALS are not tax deductible and the monies raised by either are NEVER commingled.

Thanks, Holly, for helping me understand that difference. I can't do anything right now...but I think I can help out some in a couple of weeks.

You're welcome, Mary. As I said in the original post, the timing SUCKS. (It always does). We manage to get in bind right after the holidays when everyone seems to have even less money than the usual "no money."

The DONATE BOX on the left side of the Forum page makes it easy to donate. I sent my usual donation but it would help to know how much we owe and to let us know how much we still need after donations are received so we can keep track of what is needed to keep the site going.

My check (yeah, snail mail) mailed today. I apologize for the slow method - but it's the only way I can contribute. I don't have Paypal.

:ty: to everyone who is able to pitch in to help! :D

We need aprox. $250-$300 per month for the host and server. There are other expenses, but not as large, nor as frequent.

Amazon brings in about $3-4 per month, sent to us quarterly.

Holly!! :metoyou: Thank you so much for the sweet and generous gesture :hug1:

Just sent some money via PayPal...I may not post as often as I used to, but still love checking in when I can. Too many fond memories associated with this place to bear the thought of it not being here anymore!

I think I read someplace that we now have enough money to get through March? Is that right?
