OMG!  Sue, I am so sorry I forgot about your Birthday.  I hope your day was as special as you are.

Sitting here glaring at the tax stuff.  I guess I gotta do it.  Humph!

Happy Easter  all. These days it seems politically incorrect to mention any religious holidays but we all have time off, we eat chocolate eggs and fruit buns so I'm throwing caution to the winds.

Have a lovely Easter break and enjoy the time as best you see fit.

I was in Chico's yesterday and the clerk told me to "have a nice weekend" and I said "yes - and you have a blessed Easter" and it thrilled her - it made her so happy.     Haven't seen or heard from the PC police........but it will be Easter on Sunday no matter what.

Hope all Gals have a wonderful, blessed Easter and don't eat too much chocolate.............And I wish I could put an Easter egg here, but I can't.

Ahhhh Suzie, I love you....thanks sweetie.  It was cold and raining (which is rather unusual for my birth day....but it was fine with me.  I went for a wonderful facial and Bryan and family took me out for a wonderful dinner....so I was spoiled :hearts:

Hope you get back some money.  I have used turbo tax for years now....it takes me at most a couple of hours and viola...it's done and sent and this year I got both my federal and state refund in less than two weeks.....

Cat, Bonnie, Elissa, Barb, Suzie and all my sistars....wishing you all 11.gif

love and hugs,

Sue

I hope everyone had a nice Easter. We went to church and then had lunch at one of our favorite places.

I was notified on April 7th that I'm one of the recipients of the Irish Echo newspaper's Irish Community Champions award! The awards will be presented at Rosie O'Grady's in New York City on May 5th. I spent several days looking for airfare and hotel rates and came to the sad conclusion that there's just no way I can afford to go. I called the newspaper and told them how honored I am to be a recipient, but just can't attend. They said they often have people who can't attend for various reasons. They're going to mail my award and the special edition of the newspaper to me. I submitted the photo and bio that they need for the newspaper. Three more members of the Harp & Shamrock Society of Texas also are awardees. Of the four of us, only one of person is able to go to the event. Someone suggested that we have our own party here. I second that!

Hugs,

Elissa

Sue

Wow, Barb, I need a bib after looking at that picture!

Have you tried the new M&Ms?  I got some of the Krispy ones today to go along with the Almond and Caramel ones that are already going straight to my waistline!

What's a little weight when you get to my age, right?

I think I'm finally over that awful respiratory virus. I was sick for a month and had two relapses! I managed to drag myself to several things I really couldn't miss, including my daughter's graduation with her Master of Arts Degree in Communication. I hope I didn't spread it to too many people. I've seen on Facebook that friends all over the country have been sick with something similar....they didn't get it from me! :D

Elissa - Good to hear you're all well now.    It was a battle - a month is a long time.      Don't think you have to worry too much about spreading the stuff - it's all across the country.       Thank you for continuing with the Survivor game while you were down with the plague of 2017.

Well, I hope you're not ill Bonnie...but you are very welcome. :p

I've had my fill of doctors recently and unfortunately none of them look like Gerry.  I've always joked that I am going bit by bit to heaven and now that seems to be escalating....In the past six months they have found 11 spots of skin cancer on my.....from the top of my head to my ankle....jeez.  I think I'll just hang out with Dracula from now on....which isn't so bad ... lol.  virgin031.jpg

Brushes away cobwebs....Anybody here?

Let's vow to stop in here and post once a week! The Gaming forum is still here too! Suzie, Bonnie, and I seem to be the only ones playing, but come on over and join us! The more who play, the more fun the games are! Facebook is ok, but I really miss our fun times here!

I second what Elissa said about the games thread.  It's fun and makes you think!

The weather here has been schizo!  Freezing cold for three days then in the 70s for a while then back to freezing.  We've had heavy rain, flooding,  drought, snow,  lots of wind and POLLEN!

If you don't like the weather in Texas, wait a few minutes and it will change.  Oh well, living here is not boring!

Thinking about all my GALfriends and sending boob-squishing hugs!
