When I mention our boys name they are like "Qui?" I have to ask them did they see Dracula 2000; Tomb Raider II; or Phantom of the Opera and then they go "Ah oui lui!" "HIM!" It gets so frustrating and I'm not Gerry ; no wonder he stays where people know who he is! However; when they do become bigger than life sucn as Brad Pitt they buy property in the Laurentians here because they can walk about without people bothering them; "go figure eh!" rebecca
I agree trying to explain my fascination with Gerry is really hard to get across it just means i get to watch others reaction when they do discover what a wonderful actor he is The reaction is always the same "I had know idea" then i get to say "I told you so!" SpiritWalker
Hello! I just very recently joined this list and came here to meet other Canadians! I am currently a prairie girl (at least for the next two weeks), then I a moving to Vancouver. Just too tired of the brutal prairie winters. Even though people tell me it rains a lot in Vancouver, my response it "at least I don't have to shovel it"! Are there any Vancouverites on the list? Take care, Sandy

InteriorDesignerGirl
Oh Canada! So great to find some Canadian Gals! I live in Thunder Bay, Ontario. Born and raised in Northwestern Ontario. Both my parents were born in Quebec...Gaspe...so I spent many summers at the family farm. Love my country and travelling within it. My recent travel goals involve visiting every captial city and province in Canada. I travel to Toronto on business quite a bit. Love the energy there but still love coming home. It is such a great feeling to fly over Lake Superior and see our familiar landmark "The Sleeping Giant". Ahhh...yes...my man Sleepy G. Home. Nothing beats the spectacular waterfront view here. We have some of the most breathtaking cottage properties here and I have been fortunate enough to have designed a few. Anyone Gals here attending the TIFF? Wondering if our favourite man will be there. As luck would have it I will be there on business and hope to catch a glimpse of a famous face. My friend and I are holding out for either Gerry Butler or Colin Firth. A dream perhaps? Wishing you all a fabulous day! Hope you all are enjoying some great weather. We have had sun here for three days...totally unheard of...this summer it has been all about percipitation. I think our summer has just begun. Though I am in Winnipeg, we might have a connection. My father is from Finland and did have friends in Thunder Bay. Have cousins on my mother's side in Kenora. Been through Ontario to Niagara Falls but not TO yet! Would love to go to TIFF but saving the $ for VEGAS.
