Ah and oldie but a goodie. That's from Dressed to Kilt '05. After I get past that long, luscious digit, and those pursed lips, I can't help but laugh at the topless GUY carrying such a dainty manbag...

the more I see of him the more he is picking up USA stuff it is kind of down hearting to me ,but this is the way of the world. I still adore and admire him, he is gorgeous and wonderful in my eyes. He can act too we need never forget that if it weren't for that we would not know him. Betts

Betts,

That is an interesting comment. I was just thinking the same thing.

I noticed in the extras of B & G when he was being interviewed

that he used the term "yards" instead of "meters". We must realize

that he has spent a lot of time in the US.

I seem to recall that he has an aunt who lives in CAlifornia and that

he spent a year out there after he left his job in Scotland. I think he

has been here much more than we know. So, it would be natural

that he has become somewhat "Americanized".

Uhhh...

Sorry, but isn't "the bird" kind of universal?

I don't think it's only Americans who flip people off. And you can tell that it's being done as kind of a joke, anyway.

I, for one, thought it was hilarious!! (And sexy, but hey... isn't EVERYTHING he does sexy, GALS??!!)

And don't even get me started on the pink shirt... *sigh*

Romantic,

Thanks for that! I just love useless trivia! Now if the subject ever comes up again, I'll know exactly how "the bird" came to be!!

Too funny!!

And if you notice his lips (so difficult not too) you can see he is in the middle of voicing the expetive! Not just miming it.

tell... I still can't get over the topless guy with his manbag....thanks Holly

for pointing that out....I have been having a good chuckle over that.

Gerry sure looks like he was having a great old time at Dressed to Kilt.

Naughty, but nice :) He could do pretty much anything and I'd like it..so maybe I shouldn't comment. :)

And I've loved him in that pink sweater since I saw the clip on Jay Leno when he was being interviewed--I think he looks great in it, and not to meantion that kilt too!!

I love that picture!

Not surprising, since I'm the same person who thought it would be funny if "The Ghost of Christmas Future" pointed with his middle finger... :spit:

Marissa,

Check out this link and see if it answers your question.

I actually never have given it much thought till now.

I've learned something new here today. lol I've always thought it was an American thing, and it wasn't considered a big deal in the UK... Thanks for sharing, romanticbabyboomer.
