Meet the Staff FramolamduModerator Moira Fraser is 38 years old and hails from Fife in Bonnie Scotland. She has been a fan of Gerry's for many years - well you have to support local talent don't you!! Timeline was the film that made her sit up and take notice but she freely admits it was not til 300 that she allowed herself to succumb completely to all things Gerry. After all, he was not really well known in UK or Germany where she lived from 2002-2005. It was not until she started to watch old multimedia Leno, Ferguson, Tribute interviews etc on GALS did she realise what she had been allowing herself to miss all these years. Moira has always been a huge entertainment buff since seeing the film ET at the age of 12 and loves all things entertainment beit, tv, film and theatre, etc. She loves to travel and often incorporates it with her hobby. She first discovered New York when she went to see Kevin Spacey in An Iceman Cometh back in 1999 and felt when she got there she had arrived home. She has been back numerous times over the years to see broadway musicals especially Hugh Jackman in The Boy From Oz. She goes star spotting to the Baftas in London every year and has been a regular at The Golden Globes in LA since 2000 as its her favourite award show because you get the best of both worlds, ie: major film and TV stars in abundance, including Gerry on a few occasions. She came to CUT Film Festival in '08 and met a lot of GALS for the first time and knew she had found friends for life and had her first Gerry sighting at Nim's Island Premier. She attended the 3rd Annual GALS Convention in Vegas in June '08. On 1 Sep 08, she was amongst the crowd at the World Premiere of RocknRolla in London and Gerry signed her RocknRolla CD. She was lucky enough to attend the North American premiere of RocknRolla at theToronto Film Festival on 4 Sep 08 with some other GALS and got to speak to Gerry briefly as he came off stage. Her defining Gerry moment was when she unexpectedly bumped into him whilst having lunch by herself at a hotel in Toronto on 7 Sep 08. S he spoke to him for 5 mins and he was so gracious to allow a personal pic which she will treasure. He was everything she had expected and much much more. Moira has worked for the Ministry of Defence in Scotland for the last 20 years in various clerical jobs. She returned to Scotland in 2005 from having spent three years working in Germany for the Army Prosecuting Authority and now works as a Flight Administrator for the British Army near Edinburgh. She is single - no man has measured up to the pleasure a curly wurly can give her she says (well maybe Gerry) - that is a chocolate bar btw you people with filthy minds. Her biggest achievement has been finally getting her drivers licence after seven years and four attempts on 1 Aug 08. |
